For the purpose of Article 6 of UK GDPR,  BARA will have a legitimate interest in promoting engagement to collect personal data from residents. This will be  used for:  

· Meeting and event registration and attendance records  

· Members’ details in minutes  

· Email databases and other contact lists  

· Social media/websites  

· Requests for the hire of BARA equipment of purchase of merchandise

This information may include:  

· Names and Addresses  

· Telephone and social media contact details  

· Email addresses

.Transaction details  

· Other personal data which may be submitted by residents in the course of contacting     BARA (such as by email etc), or attending its meetings (such as comments made). 

This information will be stored in the following location:  

- Retained in electronic form on BARA Google Drive Database 

- Retained on BARA email account baraconnect@gmail.com  

- Retained on BARA Committee members email accounts 

- Computers in committee members' homes  

- Printed on paper copies of AGM minutes or printed distribution and event attendance lists 


BARA will not share this information with anyone unless it is necessary for the purpose of carrying on BARA events and activities.   

Information will be kept for a maximum of 5 years unless required for your annual membership renewal purposes.  Paper information will be shredded, and digital information will be deleted.
