bara food bank collections

During the 2020 lockdown our local food-banks were struggling to keep the level of supplies necessary to meet demand. To help out BARA set up some collection points around Bushwood so people could conveniently drop items off.

Look out for our collection point signs and if you happen to be passing on the way back from the shops, or have the odd tin or packet in your cupboard that you'd like to donate you can find our boxes at :-

• 7 Leybourne Rd

• 37 Lister Rd

• 44 Hartley Rd

• 1 Aylmer Road

Welcome donations include: tinned veg/fruit/fish and meat; packet food; pasta; flour; long life milk; tea; coffee; cereal; pet food; cleaning products; cooking oil; potatoes and onions. Please refrain from things that need to be chilled or have a very short shelf life as there are no refrigeration facilities.

Alternatively drop to: St John's Church Forecourt Every Saturday 10 - 11.30am

Salvation Army drop off (Southwell Grove, E11 4PP): Every Wednesday 10am - 12pm
